We are looking for a Director of Finance to lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls across the division. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this role plays a critical part in shaping financial strategy, supporting operational performance, and ensuring strong financial governance.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you will lead the financial reporting function while partnering closely with operations and executive leadership to drive performance, accountability, and informed decision-making across the business.

  • Lead all financial reporting activities across divisions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Research and apply new and emerging IFRS standards;
  • Oversea intercompany reconciliations and eliminations;
  • Analyze financial performance, including cost tracking, variance analysis, and risk identification;
  • Prepare and maintain cash forecasts;
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership;
  • Oversee accounting functions, internal controls, and financial policies and procedures;
  • Establish and enforce standards and business rules for financial reporting across the organization;
  • Partner with operational leaders to support project performance, budgeting, and decision-making;
  • Monitor financial performance at the project and business unit level and drive corrective actions where needed;
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including timelines, coordination, and accountability across departments;
  • Support audits and ensure effective resolution of findings with external auditors;
  • Maintain strong relationships with government agencies, auditors, and external partners;
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements;
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance managers and team members

What We're Looking For:

We’re seeking a seasoned finance leader who brings strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and business acumen, with the ability to build high-performing teams and influence decision-making at a senior level.

  • CPA designation;
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or finance leadership roles;
  • Proven experience with consolidations and IFRS accounting standards;
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage a team of accounting and financial professionals, including mentoring, performance management, and building a high-performing, accountable culture;
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ideally within a project-based or construction environment;
  • Demonstrated success in building and improving financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks in a complex organization;
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights and influence executive decision-making;
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to partner effectively with operational leaders and drive alignment across the organization;
  • Deep understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders;
  • A collaborative, hands-on leader who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level
